The area known as Chevy Chase bisects the Washington DC- Maryland border; each side – Chevy Chase DC and Chevy Chase MD – is characterized by a unique identity.

It is roughly bounded by Western Avenue and Tennyson Street to the north, Rock Creek Park to the east, Reno Road to the west, and a portion of Broad Branch Road to the south. The neighborhood is served by Metro’s red line via the nearby stations of Friendship Heights, Tenleytown-AU, and Van Ness-UDC.
